Who are we?

Kumamoto.dev

Born in the 1960s, I’ve experienced that familiar fear and anxiety while walking home alone— especially after dark.

Like many women, I’ve followed all the advice to increase my chances of escape or survival. My top five? Flat shoes—in case I need to run. Keys between my fingers. Taking the longer, better-lit route. Avoiding headphones—or keeping one ear free. Constantly scanning my surroundings, looking over my shoulder, and, if necessary, crossing the street.
